Applicant Qualifications
A. Apply for undergraduate major requirements:
1.Age requirement: 18 years old or above, 30 years old or below.
2.Physical fitness and meet the admission requirements of the corresponding majors.
3.Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the relevant administrative regulations of Nanjing Medical University.
4.Chinese Language Requirements (Chinese-medium Clinical Medicine Program): Certificate of Chinese Language Proficiency Test Level 4 or above, if not, you are required to take the Chinese Language Test arranged by NUIST.
5.Academic Requirements: High school graduation or above. High school math, physics, chemistry and biology courses will be accepted on the basis of merit.
B. Requirements for applying for master's degree programs: they must have a bachelor's degree from a regular university at home and abroad, and the majors they studied in their undergraduate studies are the same as or closely related to the majors they apply for master's degree programs, and they must be citizens of other countries other than those of Chinese nationality who are under the age of 30 years old; the majors marked with an "*" are divided into two modes of cultivation: scientific research and professional, and the scientific research mode is cultivated within the discipline and awarded a master's degree in medicine. The research type shall be trained in the discipline and awarded the master's degree in medicine; the professional master's degree shall be awarded the master's degree in clinical medicine after 6-24 months of rotation in the secondary discipline, and the training time in the discipline shall be not less than 9 months.
Applicants for professional training should have passed HSK level 4 or above. If they have not passed HSK level 4, they need to study one year of Chinese language preparatory course in our university (Chinese language preparatory students are entitled to full tuition scholarship for the first year), and can only enter into professional master's degree cultivation after they have passed HSK level 4; if they still haven't passed HSK level 4 after one year of Chinese language preparatory course, applicants for professional cultivation can either choose to switch to scientific research master cultivation or choose to study for another year. If the applicant fails to pass HSK4 after one year of Chinese preparatory course, the applicant for professional training can choose to transfer to research master training, or choose to study one more year of Chinese preparatory course or above until passing HSK4.
C. Requirements for doctoral degree: Applicants must have a master's degree from a regular university in China or abroad, and their master's degree majors are the same or closely related to their doctoral degree majors, and they must be citizens of countries other than China under the age of 35. Doctor of Medicine (Ph.D) is awarded for scientific research; Doctor of Clinical Medicine (M.D) is awarded for professional research. Applicants for the M.D. degree must have a bachelor's or master's degree majoring in clinical medicine or dentistry, and those whose master's degree was not obtained in mainland China must have obtained the qualification of medical practitioner.

IV. Materials required for application
1.Photocopy of passport within the validity period
2.Notarized certificate of highest education/degree. If the applicant is a student or employed, he/she should additionally submit a certificate of enrollment issued by the school he/she is attending or a certificate of employment issued by the employer. Non-Chinese or English documents must be accompanied by a notarized translation into Chinese or English;
3. Notarized transcript of the highest academic degree. Non-Chinese and English copies must be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English;
4.Certificate of no criminal record (applicants who are studying in Chinese universities for undergraduate or master's degree can ask their Chinese universities to provide this certificate);
5.Study and research plan for coming to China (no less than 1000 words), written in Chinese or English (for graduate programs);
6.Recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors of the graduating institution, written in Chinese or English (for graduate programs);
7.Published papers or monographs (applying to graduate programs)

Application Procedure
1. The applicant logs into the application system to fill in the relevant contents and upload the corresponding attachments. The URL of the application system is http://admission.njmu.edu.cn/.
2. Within 5 working days after the applicant has successfully submitted all the application materials, the enrollment personnel will conduct preliminary examination of the application materials and give feedback on the preliminary examination opinions. For those applicants who have passed the preliminary examination, the applicant will be notified of "Passed" and payment of enrollment deposit by sending an Acceptance Letter and payment of enrollment deposit electronically through the application system.
3.Within 7 days after receiving the Acceptance Letter, the accepted applicant is required to pay the registration fee of RMB500 and the enrollment deposit (RMB4,000 or USD600) to NUIST. If the accepted applicant is able to report to the university and register on time after paying the enrollment deposit, the deposit paid will be converted into the enrollment deposit, and the student will have to pay the remaining balance when he/she arrives at the university. If the admitted student fails to report to campus on time, the enrollment deposit will not be refunded.
4.Admitted students will upload a scanned copy of the deposit remittance slip to the application system.
5.After confirming the receipt of the enrollment deposit, NJMU will send the applicant the enrollment notice and the "Application for Visa for International Students" (Form JW202) according to the applicant's home address and contact phone number entered in the application system.
6.The admitted person will go to the Embassy (Consulate) of the People's Republic of China in the foreign country to apply for a visa to study in China (X1 or X2 visa) with the enrollment notice and JW202 form.
7.Admitted students bring the enrollment notice, the original Foreigner's Physical Examination Form and the JW202 form and report to the College of International Education of Nanjing Medical University according to the time specified in the enrollment notice.
