Zhejiang Academy of Science and Technology Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students in China

I. Scholarship recipients

Foreign students, including graduate students, undergraduate students and long-term advanced students (one year and above), who will come to study in the province and those who are already studying in the province, and the applicants must be in good health.

II. Scholarship Categories

1.Category A Scholarship, a one-time grant of 30,000 RMB.

It is used to subsidize outstanding foreign students who come to Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology to receive postgraduate level education. The main purposes of this kind of scholarship: payment of registration fee, tuition fee, basic textbook fee, accommodation fee, major illness and accident insurance, etc..

2.Category B Scholarship, a one-time grant of 20,000 RMB.

It is used to support outstanding foreign students who come to Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology to receive undergraduate level education. The main purposes of this type of scholarship: payment of registration fee, tuition fee, basic textbook fee, accommodation fee, major diseases and accidents insurance, etc.

3.Category C Scholarship, a one-time subsidy of 6,000 RMB.

It is used to reward long-term foreign advanced students with good character and academic performance who are already studying in Zhejiang universities.

III. Scholarship Application Time

Scholarships are evaluated once a year and applications are generally accepted from January to May every year.

Scholarship application requirements:

1.Basic conditions

(1) Applicants, who are enrolled in undergraduate programs, should have obtained an academic degree or certificate equivalent to graduation from a senior secondary school in China and be under 30 years old.

(2) Applicants for master's degree should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, have letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, and be under 35 years old.

(3) Applicants for doctoral programs should have a master's degree or equivalent, have letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, and be under 40 years old.

2.Other Requirements

(1) Applicants should have foreign nationality, hold a foreign passport, be friendly to China, and be in good health.

(2) Applicants must be in good behavior, no violation of school discipline and rules such as absenteeism in school, and no violation of Chinese laws and regulations outside the school.

(3) Applicants should have appropriate Chinese language proficiency and provide relevant certificates, such as HSK certificates and other Chinese language study and examination certificates. Some majors which are taught directly in English can relax the requirements appropriately.

(4) The applicant's grades are among the best in his/her grade or class.

(5) The applicant has not received any other scholarships from the Chinese government at the same time.

V. Scholarship Application Materials (The application materials submitted by the applicants will not be returned.)

Application materials in duplicate, including:

(1) Application Form of Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students in China;

(2) Notarized certificate of highest academic qualifications and academic transcripts (Chinese or English translations are required for texts other than Chinese or English).

(3) Photocopy of passport;

(4) Record of Foreigner's Physical Examination

(5) Letter of Recommendation
