Lanzhou University of Science and Technology Presidential Scholarship

I. Scholarship content and criteria

1.Tuition fee for academic students: the first-class scholarship awards 100% of the tuition fee standard payable for the whole academic year, and the second-class scholarship awards 50% of the tuition fee standard payable for the whole academic year; living expenses for academic students: 10,000 RMB/person-year, which is paid in 10 months every year.

2.Individual Scholarship: 5,000 RMB/person/year.

III. Qualifications of Applicants

1. Non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary passport and in good health;

2. Abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as the rules and regulations of the school;

3. The applicant's education and age requirements:

Applicants for Bachelor's degree must have high school or equivalent education, and their age is generally not more than 25 years old; applicants for Master's degree must have obtained a Bachelor's degree, and their age is generally not more than 35 years old; applicants for Doctor's degree must have obtained a Master's degree, and their age is generally not more than 40 years old.

4. They have not been awarded various scholarships by the Chinese Government and other organizations.

March 1 to July 1 each year

V. Application Process / Route

Applicants mail or submit paper application materials to the College of International Education, Lanzhou University of Technology.

VI. Materials Required for Application

1.Application Form for Enrollment of Foreign Students of Lanzhou University of Technology (available at College of International Education or downloaded from the website of College of International Education);

2.Photocopy of passport;

2.Certificate of highest academic qualification (notarized, Chinese or English translation is required);

3.Academic transcripts (Chinese or English translation required);

4.Study or research program in China (500 words or more, both in Chinese and English);

5.Two letters of recommendation (both in Chinese and English);

6.New students are required to provide the original HSK certificate, and current students are required to provide transcripts of the previous academic year;

7.To apply for the Outstanding Individual Scholarship, original certificates of publications and awards for academic, sports, arts, cultural exchange, social activities, etc. within one year must be provided.

Note:

International students who have been awarded this kind of scholarship are required to participate in the annual evaluation of the scholarship at the end of the first academic year. Only those who pass the evaluation can continue to enjoy the scholarship for the next academic year.
