III. Scholarship Application Requirements

1. Basic conditions:

(1) Applicants enrolled in undergraduate programs should have obtained a degree or certificate equivalent to graduation from a Chinese senior secondary school and be under 30 years of age.

(2) Applicants for master's degree should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, have letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, and be under 35 years of age.

(3) Applicants for doctoral programs should have a master's degree or equivalent, have letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, and be under 40 years old.

2. Other conditions:

(1) Applicants should have foreign nationality, hold a foreign passport, be friendly to China and be in good health.

(2) Applicants must be in good behavior and will abide by Chinese laws and regulations and school rules and discipline.

(3) Applicants must have good grades in the previous study period.

(4) Applicants should have appropriate Chinese language proficiency and provide relevant certificates, such as HSK certificates, other certificates of Chinese language study and examination. There is no Chinese proficiency requirement for advanced Chinese language students and majors taught directly in English.

(5) Applicants should not have received any other scholarships from the Chinese government at the same time.

V. Application Procedures and Channels

3. Photocopy of valid passport

4. Notarized certificate of highest academic qualification (Chinese or English translation must be attached if it is in a language other than Chinese or English)

5. Academic transcripts (Chinese or English translations must be attached if not in Chinese or English)

6. Letters of recommendation (for master's and doctoral degree applicants and advanced trainees, letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors must be submitted)

7. Foreigner's physical examination record (Physical examination record valid within 6 months)

8. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents from their legal guardians in China

9. A copy of HSK certificate or a copy of English proficiency certificate (if any)

10. Other required documents (subject to notification at the time)
