II. Open specialties

All master's and doctoral programs offered by Zhejiang University of Technology are open for application.

III. Funding Period

1. Master's degree: 3 years

2. Doctoral students: 3.5 years

IV. Scholarship Application Requirements

1. Basic conditions:

(1) Applicants enrolled in a master's degree program should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, have letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, and be under the age of 35.

(2) Applicants for doctoral programs should have a master's degree or equivalent, have letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors, and be under 40 years of age.

2. Language Requirements:

(1) Applicants for Chinese language instruction:

l Arts: 180 points or above in New HSK 4;

l Science, Engineering, Economics and Management: 195 points or above in New HSK4;

Arts and Law: 210 points or above in New HSK4;

(2) Applicants for English-medium courses must fulfill at least one of the following conditions:

l Native language is English;

l High school or university education is taught in English;

l TOEFL: 80 (IBT) and above or 550 (PBT) and above;

l IELTS: 5.5 and above;

3. Other requirements:

(1) Applicants must have foreign nationality, hold a foreign passport, be friendly to China, and be physically and mentally healthy.

(2) Applicants must be in good behavior and will abide by Chinese laws and regulations and school rules and discipline.

(3) The applicant must have good grades in the previous study period.

(4) The applicant has not received any scholarships from the Chinese Government, Zhejiang Provincial Government or other scholarships at the same time.

VII. Application Materials

1. Application Form for Presidential Scholarship for Foreign Students of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology

(to be filled in Chinese or English)

2. Photocopy of passport

3. Notarized certificate of highest education. If the applicant is a student, he/she must submit a certificate of enrollment issued by the school he/she is attending. A notarized translation of the documents into Chinese or English must be attached to the documents in languages other than Chinese or English.

4. University transcripts. Notarized translations in Chinese or English must be attached.

5. Study or research program in China, written in Chinese or English. The content should include personal study and work experience, academic research results, proposed research field and research plan at master or doctoral level, and personal development goals after graduation.

6. Recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English.

7. Physical Examination Form for Foreigners (copy). This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department and should be completed in Chinese or English. Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the Foreigner Physical Examination Record. The Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners with missing items, without the photo of the applicant affixed to it or without the riding seal on the photo, and without the signature and seal of the doctor and the hospital are invalid. Given that the results of the examination are valid for six months, applicants are requested to determine the time of their medical examination accordingly.
