Beijing Government Scholarships for International Students The Scholarships are intended to support outstanding international students to study or conduct scientific research in Beijing's higher education institutions and research institutes. 1. Scholarship Contents Scholarship Contents The scope of subsidy for Category A Scholarship includes tuition fees, accommodation fees, living expenses and comprehensive medical insurance premiums. Category B Scholarship includes tuition, accommodation and comprehensive medical insurance. Category C scholarships cover tuition and comprehensive medical insurance premiums. 2.Scholarship period New students: the scholarship period is the same as the basic study period. (1) Be friendly to China and abide by Chinese laws and regulations as well as school rules and regulations; (2) Be no older than 25 years old at the time of admission for undergraduates, 35 years old at the time of admission for master's degree students, and 40 years old at the time of admission for doctoral degree students; (3) Only available for the regular tuition program; (4) Have not been awarded any other scholarships (excluding one-time incentive awards) by the Chinese government at all levels, social organizations and schools. (5) The new students must meet the relevant application requirements of Peking University for enrolling foreign students and have passed the preliminary examination of Peking University's full-time self-financed program for foreign students (master's and doctoral degree); (6) The current students must be the second year or above of Peking University's full-time undergraduates, master's degree students and doctoral degree students of foreign nationality. 4 . (1) Graduate students New students Applicants should first submit their applications to Peking University in the fall of the previous year, and then submit their applications in the spring of the following year by referring to the Scholarship Application Notice issued in that year. (2) Undergraduate Students New students are not required to submit an application and will be selected on the basis of merit based on the results of their admission and the requirements of the program. (3) Current students Please refer to the scholarship application notice issued in September every year to submit your application. 5 . According to the relevant regulations, scholarship students must participate in and pass the annual evaluation of the scholarship in order to continue to receive the scholarship for the next academic year. The annual evaluation mainly assesses the overall performance of the scholarship students in the previous academic year, including moral conduct, academic performance, attitude towards study/research, attendance, behavior, etc. The annual evaluation is usually conducted in the spring of each year. The annual evaluation of scholarships is usually conducted in the spring semester of each year. Please refer to the current year's notice for specific time and requirements.
