Scholarship Details
"The New Sinology Program, established by the Center for Sino-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation (hereinafter referred to as CCLEC), is dedicated to providing opportunities and support for young scholars studying China at the doctoral level to study in China. Currently, the University accepts two categories of students in this program: Doctoral Degree Program in China and Sino-foreign Cooperative Doctoral Program (Advanced Candidates). I. Program Contents Scholarships: Tuition, living expenses, international travel expenses, etc. are provided, and students are given priority in obtaining the opportunity to receive financial support for their research. Academic Resources: obtain academic training from top Chinese universities; participate in tailor-made forums, seminars, workshops and other academic activities; get professional guidance from a number of tutors from Chinese and foreign universities; and have in-depth exchanges and interactions with Chinese and foreign scholars. Future Development: After graduation, you will be given priority to receive support for other programs of the New Sinology Program, such as publishing doctoral dissertations and translations, coming to China for training, and participating in international academic conferences. Qualifications Aspire to engage in research in China-related humanities and social sciences, have a solid academic foundation, have a clear research topic or goal, and be able to carry out research in Chinese, as follows: Doctoral students: non-Chinese nationals, in good health, abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of the university; 210 points or more in HSK level 6; have obtained a master's degree, or Fresh graduates of Master's Degree. Senior advanced students (Chinese-foreign cooperative doctoral students): non-Chinese nationals, generally under 50 years old, in good health, complying with the laws and regulations of the Chinese government as well as the rules and regulations of the university; HSK level 3 or above; doctoral students enrolled in a registered foreign university. Students submit application materials to the university and the Language Cooperation Center (LCC); the university conducts preliminary examination of the materials and reexamination; the LCC conducts expert evaluation and video interview; the university issues a letter of acceptance. During the period of financial support, students shall report to school and register on time at the beginning of each semester. After enrolling in each semester, students shall log in the system of New Sinology Doctoral Program (http://csp.chinese.cn/myDoip/login.html, hereinafter referred to as "New Sinology System") and fill in the Registration Form of New Sinology Doctoral Program in a timely manner. Within 2 months after admission, students shall agree with their Chinese supervisors on the training plan for the current academic year according to the overall training requirements of the Center for Language Cooperation and the University and fill in the form on the New Sinology System, which is to be submitted once every academic year; students who are coming to China to study for doctoral degrees are also required to submit the overall training plan for doctoral degrees formulated by the University in the first year of their enrollment. For every two semesters after enrollment, students shall log in the New Hanology system and fill in the "Annual Summary of Doctoral Students under the New Hanology Program" two months before the end of the second semester; students with less than two semesters of study in China and those who apply for less than two semesters of study in China are required to log in the New Hanology system and fill in the "Annual Summary of Doctoral Students under the New Hanology Program" two months before the expiry of the financial support period. Annual Summary of Doctoral Students under the "New Chinese Studies Program". Failure to pass the annual evaluation will result in the scholarship being downgraded to a partial scholarship or suspended for the next year; those who fail to pass the annual evaluation for two consecutive times will be disqualified from the scholarship.
