(a) Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy; * If both or one of the parents is a Chinese citizen and has settled in a foreign country, and if the student was born with a foreign nationality, he/she does not have Chinese nationality. Such students should hold a valid foreign passport or document proving nationality for at least 4 years (inclusive) and have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for at least 2 years within the last 4 years (up to April 30 of the year of enrollment) (actual residence in a foreign country for at least 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit stamps). Residents of the mainland (China), Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who have immigrated and acquired foreign nationality and then apply for undergraduate study at the University as international students shall also fulfill the above requirements. (For details, please refer to the Circular of the Ministry of Education on the Regulation of the Acceptance of International Students by Our Institutions of Higher Education) (b) Having graduated from senior high school or equivalent with outstanding academic performance; (c) Applicants shall take the "Test of Academic Standard for Undergraduate Admission for Study in China (CSCA)" (official webpage: www.csca.cn ); ( (d) Applicants must be no older than 25 years old as of September 1, 2026. Applicants should log in to the International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship application website (cis.chinese.cn), click on "I Want to Apply" in the upper right corner, complete the system registration, and then log in to the program management platform. 2. Click "Scholarship Application", select "Joint Cultivation Program" in the pop-up box, and then click the OK button to enter the page of "International Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship Application Form". 3. Fill in the application form according to the requirements, and select "Chinese + Vocational and Technical Training (Undergraduate)" in "Scholarship Category"; select "Translation" or "Translation" in "Specialization". Recommending Institutions: Confucius Institutes, independent Confucius Classrooms, some Chinese language examination centers, relevant foreign educational institutions, Chinese language teacher training programs/Chinese language departments in universities, relevant foreign Chinese language teaching organizations, Chinese embassies/consulates abroad, etc. (hereinafter referred to as recommending institutions) can recommend outstanding students to BLCU for study and further study in relevant majors. BLCU will organize an internal expert evaluation of the applicants who meet the requirements of the scholarship, and recommend them to the Center for evaluation based on the applicants' high school grades, Chinese language proficiency, cultivation potential and other factors.
