Huashan Scholarship of Xidian University

The Huashan Scholarship of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as Xidian) aims to subsidize outstanding overseas students to study at Xidian, and to motivate the majority of international students to work hard and complete their studies with excellent results.

I. Scholarship Content and Criteria

1. First Class Scholarship (Unit: RMB)

Free of tuition fee;

Free on-campus accommodation is provided;

Provision of scholarships for living expenses: the standard is RMB 1,000/month for undergraduate and master's degrees and RMB 1,200/month for doctoral degrees.

2. Second Class Scholarship

Free of tuition fee.

3. Third Class Scholarship

Half-year tuition fee waiver.

II. Qualifications of Applicants

1. Degree Requirements

Undergraduate application: Notarized high school graduation certificate, transcripts from the institutions attended before coming to China (average score of 85 or above). HSK Level 4 score of 180 or above for Chinese-medium students, and English proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 or equivalent in their home country, or top 10% in their year, for those who choose to study in English-medium programs.

Master's Degree: Notarized proof of undergraduate degree, transcripts from the institution attended before coming to China (average score of 85 or above). Chinese-medium students with HSK Level 4 score of 180 or above, and students who choose to study in English-medium programs must have an English level of IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 or equivalent in their home country, or be ranked in the top 10% of their majors.

PhD applicants: Notarized proof of master's degree, transcripts from the institution attended before coming to China (average score of 85 or above). For Chinese-taught students, HSK Level 4 score of 180 or above, and for students who choose to study in English-taught majors, their English proficiency should reach IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 or the equivalent in their home countries, or the top 10% of their majors.

2. Not other scholarship recipients.

IV. Application Process

1. Applicants can obtain the "Application Form for Huashan Scholarship for International Students from Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology" from the College of International Education of Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology (XUET), or from http://sie.xidan.edu.cn网址下载该表.

2. Applicants should submit the completed application form for study abroad, a copy of passport and relevant academic documents to the College of International Education of XUET. (See http://sie.xidian.edu.cn for details)

V. Required Documents for Application

Applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials:

1. Application Form for Huashan Scholarship for International Students from Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology;

2. Proof of highest degree;

3. Transcripts (original transcripts of all courses);

4. Letters of recommendation;

5. Study or research plan (in Chinese or English, no less than 800 words).
