Current Position: Home >> News >> Notice Notice Notice Notice of Application for Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students in China in the Academic Year of 2025 Application for Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students in China in the Academic Year of 2025 is open, and the application for this scholarship is divided into two categories, namely, the new students of the class of 2025 and the students of other grades, and the applicants should satisfy the basic conditions and the specific requirements of the categories at the same time. Please read the application notice carefully and submit the application materials to the corresponding section after confirming that you meet the application requirements. I. Basic Standards and Eligibility (1) Contents of Financial Assistance and Payment Methods 1. According to the level of study and the type of discipline, there are scholarships of category A, B and C respectively: Scholarships of category A include tuition fees, accommodation fees, living expenses and comprehensive medical insurance premiums. Category B scholarships include tuition, accommodation and comprehensive medical insurance. Category C Scholarships include tuition fees and comprehensive medical insurance premiums. 2.(1) Tuition Fee: Students who receive this scholarship are exempt from paying tuition fees. (2) Accommodation fee: Students who receive this financial assistance are exempted from paying the on-campus accommodation fee. If the institution agrees to arrange their own accommodation, the institution will pay the awarded students monthly or quarterly according to the standard of accommodation fee. (3) Cost of living: Regularly paid by the institution to the awarded students. (4) Comprehensive medical insurance premium: the institution will release the premium to the awardee after the awardee has registered and reported to the university, and the awardee is required to pay the premium by himself/herself first. (II) Basic Application Requirements 1. Applicants must be non-Chinese international students, friendly to China, physically and mentally healthy. 2.(1) To apply for undergraduate scholarships, applicants must have graduated from high school or have the equivalent academic ability and be no older than 25 years old. (2) To apply for Master's Scholarships, applicants must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and be no older than 35 years old. (3) To apply for a doctoral scholarship, you must have a master's degree or equivalent and be no older than 40 years old. (4) To apply for undergraduate matriculation scholarships, you must have graduated from high school or have the equivalent academic ability, have received a pre-admission notice from the undergraduate admission institution, and be no older than 24 years old. 3.Not concurrently receiving other scholarships (excluding all kinds of one-time incentive payments) established by Chinese government at all levels, social organizations and the admitting institutions. II. Application Requirements for the Class of 2025 (A) Language Proficiency 1. For applicants of preparatory studies, the Chinese language proficiency shall be at least HSK Level 3. 2.For degree programs, the Chinese language proficiency should be at least HSK Level 4. (II) Academic Level 1. For applicants of B and C scholarships, the last graduation school is in principle a major university (research institution)/a major high school in the host country (with an average grade of not less than 80 points/GPA of 3.0). 2.If you apply for A scholarship, your last school is one of the top 500 universities in the world or one of the major high schools in your country (with an average grade of not less than 85 and a GPA of 3.6). (C) Application materials (written in Chinese or English only; application materials will not be returned) 1. Fill in and submit the Application Form for Beijing Government Scholarship. 2. Proof of highest education and academic transcripts. 3. For master's degree and doctoral degree programs, applicants must submit recommendation letters written in Chinese or English by two associate professors or above in related fields. 4. Applicants for degree programs should provide a study plan (no less than 400 words) or a research plan (no less than 800 words). 5. Provide supporting materials and information such as relevant honorary certificates, academic publications, scientific research achievements, patented inventions, etc., if any. 6. Applicants are required to provide accurate banking information in China, including bank card number, name of the card issuer and information of the account opening bank (be sure to be accurate to the branch, for example, Bank of XX Huixin Dongjie Sub-branch). (D) Application Procedure: 1. After the new students are admitted and pay the tuition fee, they should download and fill in the scholarship application form, prepare the application materials and send them to the email address of the Admissions Department. 2.Students applying for the Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship should send the application form and other materials to: degreeinchinese@163.com . 3. The subject of the email must be: Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship Application + Student Name + Passport Number. 4. All documents should be sent in PDF format. 5. After receiving the materials, the university will examine the materials according to the principles of openness, fairness and impartiality, and select outstanding international students who have both integrity and talent, and have the potential for cultivation. (F) Application Period and Announcement of Results: New students applying for the scholarship should submit their applications to the Department of Admissions and Program Development of the University of International Business and Economics between September 16th and September 26th, and the results of the scholarship will be announced in mid-October. Conditions and Procedures for Application by Students of Other Years (1) Targets and Conditions of Application, Selection Steps and Criteria 1. Targets for evaluation shall be self-financed international students with bachelor's degree or graduate degree who have been studying for one year or more, and have no records of illegal discipline or punishment during their study period. 2. The selection of Beijing Government Scholarships for International Students shall be based on the definition of academic achievement level and academic achievements in the Selection Measures of Academic Star and Postgraduate Student Academic Innovation Award of the University of International Business and Economics (for Trial Implementation). (1) Selection Criteria: Students applying for Class A Scholarship must have published or obtained Class I and Class II academic achievements; students applying for Class B Scholarship must have published or obtained Class III academic achievements. The time of publication of the above results shall be from July of the previous year to September of the current year. (For the criteria of the above academic achievements, please refer to the Appendix "Measures for Selection of Academic Stars of the University of International Business and Economics") (2) Selection Steps: The training colleges are responsible for examining the authenticity and level of the academic achievements of international students in their colleges, and the project management department of the international colleges is responsible for reviewing the materials, and based on the declaration situation and the level of the achievements, the candidates for the scholarships of category A and B will be prepared initially. 3.Applicants for Beijing Government Scholarships for International Students in China Class C Scholarships shall apply to the class teacher of the training college in accordance with the requirements of the notice and submit relevant materials within the validity period: (1) Selection Criteria: The average score of the current year's applicants in their grades and disciplines ranks the top; they are able to perform well in school, abide by laws and regulations and school rules and discipline, ensure class attendance, and participate in class meetings on time; serve as student cadres, and be a member of a student organization; and be a member of a student committee. Priority will be given to those who have served as student cadres, student assistants of the International College, and have made contributions to student management and activities. Priority will be given to those who have actively participated in various activities both inside and outside the university, and have won prizes and honors for the university. (2) Selection Steps: After preliminary examination, the training college will rank the recommended candidates according to their grades and academic performance, and submit the list of recommended candidates to the project management department of the International College. 4.The International College will summarize the above A, B and C lists, hold a joint meeting of the Party and Government to study and determine the list of winners and ranks of the Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students in China for students with academic qualifications, form a preliminary list, and submit it to the university for examination and approval to determine the list for public announcement. (II) Application time and application steps for students 1. Application time: from now on to September 22, 2025 . 2.Application steps: (1) Before September 22, 2025, students shall submit paper application materials to their training colleges. (2) After completing the examination, preliminary evaluation and public announcement of the preliminary examination of the application materials (not less than 3 days), the training colleges shall sign and stamp their opinions on the evaluation form of the candidates, and stamp and sign the summary table of the recommended list by the person-in-charge. The above materials shall be submitted to the Department of Academic Education Affairs of the International College on September 25, 2025 before the end of the working day. At the same time, please package the electronic version of the relevant application materials and the summary table of the recommended students, name them after the name of the college, and send them to degree_sie@163.com. (3) The International College shall summarize the above list of A, B and C categories, hold a joint meeting of the Party and the government, study the list of winners of the Beijing Government Scholarships for International Students in China for the students who are studying for academic qualifications and their grades, and then form a preliminary list and submit it to the university for examination and approval. After determining the list for public announcement, the list of award-winning candidates shall be announced on campus for a period of five natural days; (4) During the period of announcement, those who have objections to the award-winning candidates can raise their objections to the College of International Studies in their real names; after the expiration of the period of announcement, the College of International Studies shall determine the list of the final award-winning candidates in the light of the objections and appeals, and then submit the list to the university for approval. (III) Application Materials 1. paper version of Beijing Scholarship Evaluation Form for International Students of the University of International Business and Economics; 2. transcripts of the two semesters of the academic year of 2024-2025; 3. materials of academic achievements (e.g. applying for Scholarships A and B) 4. copy of passport; 5. personal statement; 6. if any, the applicant is required to provide copies of various kinds of award certificates during the study period 7. Applicants should provide accurate bank information in China, including bank card number, name of the cardholder, and information of the bank (must be accurate to the branch, for example, Bank of XX Huixin Dongjie Sub-branch). （Application materials must be true and accurate, and the award will be disqualified if there is any falsification. 2.Scholarship students will be disqualified from the scholarship if they violate Chinese laws, school rules and regulations or do not comply with the scholarship-related regulations during their study period. 3.The age of the student must meet the application requirements.
