Basic Requirements for Application

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health;

2. The applicant's education and age requirements:

● For those who come to China to study undergraduate majors, they must have graduated from high school with good grades and be no older than 25 years old (applicants for Tianjin Municipal Government Scholarships should be no older than 30 years old);

● Applicants coming to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be no older than 35 years old;

● For those who come to China to study as advanced Chinese language students, they must have graduated from high school, come to China to study Chinese language, and be no older than 35 years old;

Application Period

Applicants provide their applications to the International Exchange Office of the University, and the application period is generally from March 1 month to June 15 month.

Required Documents

Applicants must truthfully fill out and submit the following application materials:

● Application form for studying in China.

● Notarized certificate of highest academic qualification, non-Chinese or English materials must be provided with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

● Notarized photocopies of academic transcripts, non-Chinese or English transcripts must be provided with notarized translations in Chinese or English.

● Study or research plan, both in Chinese and English, no less than 800 words.

Recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English) are required for master's degree candidates.

● Photocopy of "Foreigner's Physical Examination Form" (the original is to be kept by the applicant, which can be downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn/Laihua/下载 and must be completed in Chinese or English) and the original blood test report form. The medical examination must cover all the items included in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The checklist is invalid if the items of the physical examination are incomplete, without the signature of the attending physician, without the official seal of the hospital, or without the applicant's photo being stamped. The medical examination is valid for 6 months, so please choose a suitable time for the medical examination.

● Photocopy of passport.

Scholarship Categories and Fees

● Full Scholarship

Scholarships for living expenses and comprehensive medical insurance are provided in addition to exemption from registration, tuition, textbook, and housing fees.

● Partial Scholarship1

Tuition and accommodation fees are waived and the following fees are charged.

1.Application and registration fee: 400 RMB

2.Textbook fee: 500 RMB/year

3.Medical Insurance Fee: RMB 800/year

● Partial Scholarship2

Tuition is waived and the following fees are charged.

1.Application and registration fee: 400 RMB

2.Textbook fee: 500 RMB/year

3.Medical Insurance Fee: RMB 800/year

4.Accommodation fee: RMB 70/person/day (single room), RMB 35/person/day (double room). Equipped with bathroom, furniture, bedding, air-conditioner, TV set, internet, etc.

● Partial Scholarship3

Accommodation fee is exempted and the following fees are charged.

1.Application and registration fee: 400 RMB

2.Tuition Fee:

Undergraduate students: RMB 15,500/year for Arts and Sciences

Science: RMB 16,300/year

Master's Degree: RMB 20,400/year for Liberal Arts

Science RMB 20,400/year

General advanced students: Chinese 12,800 RMB/year

Arts: RMB 14,800/year

Science: RMB 15,500/year

3.Textbook Fee: RMB 500/year

4.Medical Insurance Fee: RMB 800/year

Admission and Notification

The school will send the Letter of Acceptance and Application for Visa to China for Foreign Students (Form JW202) to the students by July 30, according to which the applicants will apply for a visa to study in China at the Chinese Embassy.
