Scholarship Details
1.Scholarship content and criteria
Xi'an Petroleum University (XPU) "Scholarship for New Foreign Students" is used to encourage outstanding foreign undergraduates and master's degree students from all over the world to apply for XPU. There are 70 scholarships available each year. The scholarships are as follows: first prize: free of tuition and accommodation fee; second prize: free of tuition fee; third prize: 50% free of tuition fee.
2.Open Majors
All undergraduate and master's programs taught in Chinese and English at Xi'an Petroleum University are open for application; the duration of undergraduate program is 2 years, and the duration of master's program is 3 years.
3.Applicant Qualifications
Master's program application requirements: non-Chinese citizens, in good health, must have a bachelor's degree and be no older than 35 years old.
Requirements for Bachelor's Degree: Non-Chinese citizens, in good health, must have a high school diploma, and no older than 30 years old.
4.Application Date
March 1 - August 30 every year.

Log on to the online application system of Xi'an Petroleum University at http://xsyu.edu.cn/lxsgl, and select "I want to apply for Xi'an Petroleum University Scholarship".
6.Documents required for application
(1) Application Form for Admission to Xi'an Petroleum University (automatically generated after filling in the information online).
(2) Passport.
(3) Notarized certificate of highest education. If the applicant is a student, he/she must submit an additional certificate of enrollment issued by the school he/she is attending.
(4) Academic transcripts.
(5) Applicants applying for master's degree must also submit a plan of study or research in China. (Not less than 500 words, written in English).
(6) Letters of recommendation must be submitted with the application for the Master's program. Applicants must submit letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors.
