Jinan University Presidential Scholarship

The Jinan University Presidential Scholarship Program aims to recruit outstanding master's and doctoral international graduate students to study at Jinan University.

I. Scholarship Program Enrollment Categories and Majors

1. The scholarship is only for international graduate students of master's and doctoral programs;

2、All master's and doctoral programs at Jinan University are open to international students, and some of the programs can be taught in English (see major settings).

II. Duration of Scholarship

Scholarships are awarded for 3 years for master's degree and 4 years for doctoral degree; late graduates are no longer eligible for the scholarship.

Contents of Scholarship

Scholarship content includes:

1, Tuition;

2. Accommodation (single room for PhD; double room for MSc);

3、Living allowance: 2,000 RMB/month for doctoral degree; master's degree living expenses are on your own;

4、Comprehensive medical insurance for overseas Chinese students.

Qualifications of Applicants

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy, of good character, with no bad credit or illegal records.

2、Applicants for master's degree programs are generally no older than 30 years old; applicants for doctoral programs are generally no older than 40 years old.

3、Applicants must be undergraduate or master's degree graduates or current master's degree or doctoral degree students with good character and academic performance; GPA should not be less than 3.0 in principle.

4. Those who have published high-level academic papers in foreign academic journals or have overseas exchange, study visit or internship experience are preferred.

5. For applicants of Chinese-medium programs, the Chinese language must reach HSK level 5 or above; for applicants of English-medium programs whose mother tongue (or official language) is not English, the English language must reach IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90 or above.

V. Application Process

VI. Application Materials

Scholarship applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials:

1. Application Form for International Student Enrollment of Jinan University

2、Study plan (no less than 1500 words).

3、Copies of graduation certificate, degree certificate and school transcripts of the highest degree obtained.

4. Copies of published papers, awards and other academic achievements.

5. Two letters of recommendation from professors.

6、Language certificates.
