Peking University Scholarships for Foreign Students

Peking University Scholarships for Foreign Students" is a subsidized scholarship established by Peking University in 2012, aiming at attracting more outstanding foreign students to study bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees at Peking University.

Scholarship Content:

The scholarships are divided into two categories: full scholarships and partial scholarships. Full scholarships include exemption of tuition fees, provision of living expenses (including accommodation allowance) and medical insurance fees. Partial scholarships include exemption of tuition fees.

Full Scholarship Living Costs Standard:

Undergraduate students: RMB 2,000/month;

Master's degree students: RMB 2500/month;

Doctoral students: RMB 3,000/month.

Scholarship Period:

Undergraduate students: 1 year;

Master's degree students: 2-3 years;

Doctoral students: 4 years;

Master's degree students: 5 years.

Eligibility to apply:

Applicants must be undergraduate freshmen, master's degree freshmen and doctoral degree freshmen (including master's and doctoral degree freshmen) who have obtained the qualification for foreign students enrolled in Peking University and have not received any other form of scholarship support. New graduate students pursuing professional degrees, cooperative programs and English-taught programs at Peking University are not eligible to apply.

Application Period: Usually in March-April each year.

Students who have been awarded the scholarship are required to take the annual comprehensive evaluation of the scholarship in April of each year to determine their eligibility for continuation or reinstatement of the scholarship.
