Scholarship Details
1.Scholarship content and criteria
In order to motivate the self-financed international students of Fujian Medical University to take the initiative in their study, and to cultivate international students to "know China, be friendly to China, abide by the law and love the university, and be studious and progressive", the following scholarships have been established.
Fujian Medical University Scholarship for Outstanding Privately-funded International Students is hereby established. The number of scholarships will be less than 18% of the total number of self-financed international students in the major grades, and there will be three grades. There are three levels of scholarships: 3% for the first prize, with a prize money of 7,000 RMB/year; 6% for the second prize, with a prize money of 5,000 RMB/year; and 9% for the third prize, with a prize money of 3,000 RMB/year.
2.Open Majors
These measures are applicable to full-time self-financed international students who have the academic status of the university.
3.Applicant Qualifications
(1) Full-time self-financed undergraduate students who are enrolled in the first year or above with the academic status of the university;
(2) Abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the rules and regulations of Fujian Medical University and College of Overseas Education;
(3) Be in the top 60% or less of their grade (class) in the academic year.
Those who have one of the following conditions are not eligible to participate in the above scholarships in the current academic year:
(1) Received a warning or more during the school year for violating school rules and regulations;
(2) Being absent from school for a total of 20 hours or more in a semester;
(3) Failure in one or more compulsory courses during the academic year;
(4) Defaulting on tuition, room and board, insurance, and other fees.
(5) Entering the clinical internship stage, they will not be eligible for the Scholarship for Outstanding Self-financed International Students of Fujian Medical University.
4.Application Date
Within three months after the start of each academic year
5.Application Process / Pathway
(1) Students apply in writing to the counselor.
(2) The counselor will conduct the qualification examination and submit it to the Leading Group of Overseas Education College Student Award Review.
(3) The Leadership Team of Overseas Education College will make preliminary evaluation according to the students' comprehensive academic performance, and the results of the preliminary evaluation will be publicized in the college for three working days without any objection, and then reported to the Office of the Leadership Team of the University's Incoming International Students Incentive Evaluation.
(4) The Office of the Leading Group for Assessment of Awards for International Students shall submit the results to the Leading Group for Assessment of Awards for International Students of the university for approval, and the results shall be announced after being publicized in the university for three working days without any objection.
