Chapter I. General provisions

Article 1 In order to encourage international students to study diligently and study hard, to cultivate international students with good character and academic excellence, and to attract more outstanding international students to study in the university; at the same time, in order to stimulate the innovative spirit of international students, to give full play to the cultural and sports specialties of international students, and to promote the exchanges between Chinese and foreign cultures, the Scholarship for Outstanding International Students in China is hereby established, and the present measures are formulated.

Article 2 The evaluation of the Scholarship for Outstanding International Students of Dalian University of Technology is carried out in the principle of "openness, fairness and justice".

Chapter II Types of Scholarships and Targets

Article 3 The scholarships for outstanding international students of Dalian University of Technology include: Chinese Government Scholarship, Chinese Government Scholarship for Outstanding International Students, Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship, and Dalian University of Technology Scholarship for Outstanding International Students.

Article 5 The types of Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarships, award recipients, application requirements and award standards are listed in the "Administrative Measures for Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarships".

Article 6 The scholarships for outstanding international students of Dalian University of Technology are divided into two categories: scholarships for academic students and scholarships for language training students. Scholarships for academic students include entrance scholarships, academic scholarships and individual scholarships, while scholarships for language students include academic scholarships and individual scholarships.

Students who have made special contributions to the school and classroom

Article 9 Dalian Polytechnic University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students Studying in China for Academic Purposes shall be assessed once every academic year, and Dalian Polytechnic University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students Studying in China for Language Advancement shall be assessed once every semester.

Article 10 The Academic Scholarship for International Students of Dalian University of Technology and the Individual Scholarship for International Students of Dalian University of Technology cannot be awarded at the same time.

Article 11 The following circumstances will disqualify international students from applying for the scholarship:

1.Those who violate Chinese laws and regulations or the school discipline and rules of Dalian University of Technology;

2.Undergraduates who fail two major courses in one semester after making-up exams;

3.Master's degree students who fail one degree course in one semester after a supplementary examination;

4.Doctoral students who fail one degree course in a semester after a remedial examination;

5.Cheating in violation of examination discipline;

6.Those who have been given more than serious warnings by the university for various reasons, or those who have been given three warnings by the university cumulatively;

7.Those who should be withdrawn from the school for various reasons.

Article 12 The Scholarship for Outstanding International Students of Dalian University of Technology shall be applied in September every year for academic students and in March and September every year for language students. Eligible applicants shall submit the following application materials to the teacher in charge of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation:

1.Dalian Polytechnic University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students in China application form, and fill in the form according to their actual application;

2.To apply for individual scholarships, you need to provide documents proving your outstanding performance and good grades in speech contests, new HSK exams, sports, arts, cultural exchanges and public welfare activities within the last one year.

Chapter 5 Evaluation and Determination of Scholarships

Article 13 The evaluation team of Outstanding International Students Scholarship is set up. The members of the panel shall be composed of relevant leaders and teachers.

Article 14 The evaluation panel of Outstanding International Students Scholarship shall consider the materials of the applicants, and if necessary, it may ask the applicants to make a defense, and then finalize the list of students who will be awarded the scholarship.

Article 15 The results of the scholarship evaluation will be announced on the website of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation in late March and late September. After the public announcement is made without any objection, the scholarship certificate and prize money will be issued to the students who have been awarded the scholarships.

Article 16 These Regulations shall be interpreted by the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of Dalian University of Technology.
