Scholarship Details
Chongqing Normal University (CQNU) is a full-fee scholarship program established by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), which aims to support the construction of high-level universities in Chongqing and attract outstanding foreign students to study in China. Chongqing Normal University (CNU) is now recruiting full-time Chinese Government Scholarship Master's Degree students for the class of 2018.
Scholarship application date: January 5, 2018 to April 10, 2018
II.Scholarship Content
Full Scholarship
- Exemption from tuition and accommodation fees;
- Scholarship living expenses are provided (3,000 yuan/person/month for master's degree students);
-Provides comprehensive medical insurance;

III. Enrollment Categories and Scholarship Duration
The duration of the scholarship is the same as the duration of each program (2-3 years for master's degree). Scholarship recipients of Chinese-medium programs whose Chinese language proficiency is not up to the requirement of entering the program (HSK5 or above) are required to take Chinese language tuition for one year after coming to China, and they can enter the program only after they pass the examination. The duration of the scholarship will be increased by one year for those who need Chinese language tuition.
Admission Requirements
1. The scholarship is only for non-Chinese citizens who are in good health;
2. Students who are not studying in China (graduates who have stayed in China for more than one year) and are ready to apply for a master's degree;
3、Applicants for master's degree at Chongqing Normal University should have a bachelor's degree, excellent academic performance, letters of recommendation from two professors or associate professors in their home countries, and be under 35 years old.
Materials to be Provided by Applicants for Scholarships
Applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials (all in triplicate: one original and two copies):
1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship, completed in Chinese or English. The Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarships is uniformly printed by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and must be filled in and printed online at the CSC webpage (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or www.campuschina.org,打开后点击application).

2. Notarized certificate of highest academic qualification. If the applicant is a student or is already employed, he/she should submit a certificate of enrollment issued by the school he/she is attending or a certificate of employment issued by the employer. A notarized translation of the document into Chinese or English must be attached to the documents in languages other than Chinese or English.
3、Applicants for master's degree must provide notarized transcripts of their university grades. Notarized translations of the transcripts in Chinese or English must be attached to the documents in languages other than Chinese and English.
4. Study and research plan in China (not less than 800 words), written in Chinese or English.
5. Recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors in the host country, written in Chinese or English.
6. Students applying to study music must submit a CD of their own works; students applying to study art must provide a CD of their own works (2 drawings, 2 color paintings and 2 other works);
7. Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners (copy, keep the original on your own): this form is uniformly printed by the Chinese health quarantine department and must be filled out in English. Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners. The Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners with missing items, without a photo of the applicant affixed to it or without a riding seal on the photo, and without the signature and seal of the physician and the hospital is invalid. Given that the examination results are valid for 6 months, applicants are requested to determine the time for their own physical examination accordingly. According to the requirements of Chongqing Entry-Exit and Quarantine Department, international students who have been granted scholarships are required to undergo another medical examination after coming to China.

Applicant materials will not be returned regardless of acceptance or non-acceptance. All application materials total 3 copies.
VI. Admission and Notification
1. Chongqing Normal University will evaluate the applicants' application materials and admit them on the basis of merit.
2. By April 20, 2018, Chongqing Normal University will report the admission results to the China National Scholarship Council for review.
3. After review and approval by China National Scholarship Council, Chongqing Normal University will notify the scholarship recipients at the end of June, and issue the Letter of Acceptance and other relevant admission materials in July.
VII. Others
1. After the scholarship recipients come to China, Chongqing Normal University will manage the program according to the relevant regulations of the Chinese Government Scholarships. Scholarship recipients are required to participate in the annual evaluation of the scholarships every year in accordance with the Measures for Annual Evaluation of Chinese Government Scholarships.
2. Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change their admission institutions after coming to China; in principle, they are not allowed to change their study majors and study periods.
