China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) Scholarship for New International Students

China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) has set up the New International Students Scholarship Program, which is open to outstanding foreign students with good academic performance and good moral character, and aims to encourage and finance outstanding international students to study bachelor's degree in the university, and the relevant information of the program is introduced as follows:

III. Programs

1.Academic system: Undergraduate programs generally last for 4 years. Students are required to complete all courses and fulfill the credits stipulated in the teaching plan, complete the thesis and pass the defense.

2.Language of instruction: Except for Communication Engineering and Business Administration, which can be taught in English, all other undergraduate programs are taught in Chinese.

3.Enrollment: September 2016

Qualifications

1.Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports, in good health, have a high school diploma, and be older than 18 and not more than 25 years old;

2.Positive attitude to study and good grades;

3.Chinese language proficiency should be HSK level 4 or above;

4.Not receiving other types of scholarships at the same time.

V. Application Procedures

1.Online application: Register on the online application platform for international student admission of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) (http://admission.cug.edu.cn/), fill in your personal information, upload the scanned copy of the front page of your passport, high school diploma, high school transcripts, study plan for coming to China, and proof of financial guarantee.

2.Submission of materials: After completing the online registration and preparation of materials, send the application materials together to the Admission Office of College of International Education, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). No matter whether the applicant is accepted or not, the materials submitted by the applicant will not be returned.

Application deadline: June 10, 2016

List of application materials:

① Application Form for Admission to China University of Geosciences for Foreign Students downloaded and printed from the online application system (http://admission.cug.edu.cn/) and bearing signature and photo;

② Copy of valid passport (personal information page).

③ Documentary proof of high school education (fresh graduates must provide proof of expected graduation time), which must be original or notarized in Chinese or English;

④ Transcripts of the corresponding stage of the course, which must be original or notarized in Chinese or English;

⑤ Copy of Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) transcript;

⑥ 300-word study plan for coming to China, written in Chinese or English;

(vii) A copy of the Foreigner's Physical Examination Record (uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department), which can be downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua下载;

⑧ A copy of the financial sponsor's passport and proof of income from work for the "Financial Guarantee for International Students".

⑨ Other attached materials such as copies of award certificates and recommendation letters.

Sixth, admission and registration

1.In early June, a panel of judges from the School of International Education and the student's college will determine the final acceptance results based on the student's documents and telephone/video interviews.

2. By the end of July, the school will send the acceptance letter and "Application for Visa to China for Foreign Students" (i.e., Form JW202) to the students who have been awarded the scholarship. Students are required to apply for the student entry visa (X visa) at our embassies and consulates abroad with the acceptance letter, JW202 form and the Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners.

3. At the beginning of September, students should report to the International Students Office of College of International Education of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) on time according to the requirements of the admission notice. Those who cannot report on time for any reason should ask for a leave of absence from the university. Those who are overdue without any reason will no longer retain their scholarship enrollment status.
